Oceanview Beach Block BALCONY Ocean and City View

Perfect - very hard to beat. Positive: The location was great: steps away from the beach, close to the life of calle Loiza but with enough distance from it that it's quiet at night. The balcony gives you a great quiet private space to relax in the mornings and late at night with views of both the city and the beach. The apartment itself is very clean, neat, and well kept - facilities (bathroom and kitchen) are also modern and in great condition. The host also provides beach chairs and towels which was extremely convenient. The host is also very responsive if you have any questions before / during / after your stay. Will definitely be back! Negative: My only complaint is about the neighborhood gating system - what would be a 5 minute walk during the day can turn into a 25 minute walk at night because most gates to enter Ocean Park close after 6:30pm except the one furthest west. Still, Lyfts are super cheap and the walk at night is calm, peaceful, and beautiful frankly.

Cozy beach vacation in this quaint studio Positive: The location was great. It was a short walk to the beach. The apartment had everything you need. Beach chairs, a small cooler, beach towels, cookware, microwave. It is the perfect spot for up to 2 people. There is even a small balcony with a nice view. I also liked that they had on-site parking behind a locked gate. I never worried about the car being damaged or stolen. The host is great. He responds quickly to texts. He even checked on me a few times prior to arrival to make sure I had received the details on how to check-in. On my arrival day he made sure that I had found the place as the directions can be a bit tricky. Google maps doesn't seem to know what streets are one ways. Note to travelers: The streets in the neighborhood are narrow. If you are not a great driver do not rent a large vehicle. You will have a hard time getting through as people park on both sides of the road. Locals are very used to driving fast and really close to you. Google maps had me stop slightly before the property. You want to stop in front of the large blue sign. That is where you will find the lockboxes for the key. You will have to park on the street briefly and go upstairs to get the gate opener and then you an park your car. Negative: The only thing I did not like inside the apartment was the size of the microwave. You could not fit a full sized dinner plate in it. That made it hard to warm up my leftovers. Of course that is not a reason not to stay here. The parking lot was very small and oddly angled. If you are not good at maneuvering your vehicle you may have a tough time getting in and out of the lot. I had rented a pretty large SUV and backing it out of the lot was a challenge.
